Russia has committed itself to become carbon neutral by 2060. As part of these commitments, a system of tools is being developed to stimulate private investment in projects that create positive environmental and social effects, including tax incentives, subsidies and state guarantees for enterprises and investors.
An important direction in the implementation of the 2030 SDG Agenda and ESG transformation in Russia is the promotion of this agenda at the regional and local levels. Over the past 5 years, the regions have been actively involved in various initiatives in the field of sustainable development. The section will present the best examples of ESG transformation of Russian regions and cities, as well as successful practices in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

• Implementation of the SDG agenda as a factor in transforming the development of Russian regions towards environmental friendliness, responsible consumption and production.
• Improving the efficiency of interaction between government, business and society in the interests of improving the quality of life and sustainable development of regions. The impact of the external context of 2022 on the transformation of the economy and the prospects for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the Russian regions, changes in priorities and new tasks.
• The prevalence of the use of SDG monitoring tools at the regional level.
• The role of Russian business leaders and business associations in advancing the agenda
sustainable development in the regions of presence, involvement in the agenda of regional business.
